Chess in Schools and Communities – Training Course

The main work of Chess in Schools and Communities (CSC) is to send tutors into primary schools to teach our 30 week curriculum to a whole year group, one class at a time, during the school day. We are keen to work with more schools in Yorkshire.

CSC is also looking to start chess clubs in libraries and other community groups, including prisons, in Yorkshire. CSC Library Chess.

We run regular training courses on teaching chess and our next one will be at York Central Library on Thursday 14th January CSC Training Courses

If anyone is interested in attending, volunteering, working as a tutor or has any thoughts, questions or suggestions please contact Dan Staples –
