It would seem Adrian’s post has drawn a lot of attention and opinions. I should think come May, when Jon’s calculations are complete the most improved player will be a Junior(Ladbrokes quote 1 to 10). So howza about discussing how old buggers have done?

Would be an interesting comparison – are we using ‘free bus pass’ as the cut-off point?

I think probably free prescription, you only have to tick a box. Affluent pensioners probably haven’t applied for the pass(snobs or not photogenic?).

I see the British Senior Championship doesn’t start till Saturday, anything to do with bus passes being valid earlier? Late entries £66, wasn’t that Bobby Moore’s weekly wage?
Anyway who will be the top Yorkshire pensioner. Longer to enter ‘cos there are no prizes!

It looks like there are only four entries from Yorkshire in this year’s Seniors: Roelof Westra, Jim Vickery, Doug McKerracher and Robert Clegg.

My pick is for Roelof to be Top of the Yorkshire Pops.

The competition doesn’t seem as strong as in previous years, but that might just be my imagination…
