Puzzle 1 - Black to play.

Black to play.

Well if it was 6…Nxd4! white would have resigned because of 7.Bxd4 Qa5+ 8.Nc3

[8.Bc3 Bxc3+ 9.Nxc3 Qxc3+ 10.Qd2 Qxa1+ 11.Qd1 Qxd1+ And 8.Qd2 Qxd2+ 9.Nxd2 Bxd4] 8…Qxc3+ 9.Bxc3 Bxc3+ 10.Qd2 Bxd2+ and black emerges a piece up!

It just goes to show how alert you have to be at all times – even in the opening! 0–1[/typography]
